About the CFC

United Way of Pierce County is the Principal Combined Fund Organization (PCFO) for the CFC of South Puget Sound.

The PCFO is the charitable organization selected by the Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) to administer the
local campaign. The PCFO operates under the direction
and control of the LFCC.

This is the official Combined Federal Campaign website for the Pierce, Thurston and Lewis Counties.

Combined Federal Campaign Mission

Welcome Back to the soldiers and airmen who have returned from serving our country overseas! Thank you for your service!

The mission of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is to support and to promote philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all Federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

Begun in the 1960s by Executive Order, the CFC continues to be the world's largest and most successful annual workplace giving campaign. Each year, more than 250 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally help to raise millions of dollars. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. The Director of OPM has designated to the OCFCO responsibility for day-to-day management of the CFC.
