Campaign Results

Despite economic setbacks throughout Washington in 2009, the tremendous generosity of you and your federal employees shined through once again. You pledged $1,187,984 to local, national and international charities during the 2009 campaign. This was the third highest mark in 20 years. By all of us rolling up our sleeves and continuing to stoke the flames of America's generous spirit, we have the opportunity to make our community a better one, a brighter one and a stronger one. We can not only make a difference, but systematic change in our neighborhoods, communities and this great nation. In 2009 we extended online giving to all federal agencies and in 2010, a second online option (EEX) is available for some agencies in addtiion to our traditional online system. The top six Federal Agencies account for 88 percent or $1,040,231 of the total pledged. The top six agencies consist of: I Corps & Fort Lewis, McChord Air Force Base, Madigan Army Medical Center, Washington National Guard, US Postal Service, and Veterans Administration - Puget Sound Health Care System American Lake Division. 2008 marked the first annual CFC of South Puget Sound "Community Partnership Award" where the agencies with the top percent of participation were recognized with an award presented at the Community Celebration event on April 21, 2009.
