A Message from the Chair

Dear Fellow Federal Employees and Military Personnel of the South Puget Sound,

_MJP0946 BIO I am very excited about serving as this year’s Chair for theCombined Federal Campaign (CFC) of the South Puget Sound. The CFC was created 48 years ago to help federal employees simplify their annual charitable giving plan. Last year, you set the 2nd highest total in charitable giving for the South Puget Sound over the past fifteen years. On behalf of this great organization, thank you to each of the 10,000 Airmen, Soldiers, Postal Employees, and federal civilian workers who donated. Your commitment provided much needed assistance to our community through over 2,500 charitable choices.

In addition to the traditional paper pledge, this year, every federal agency in our campaign will have the opportunity to donate online at www.cfcgive.org. With just a few clicks of the mouse you can donate or just utilize the charity search engine to quickly locate charities that relate to your interests and concerns. This printed donor guide is another resource you can use to find local, national, or international charities that you wish to support.

This year, we face a challenge that we can surmount if we work together. The demand on those charitable organizations we are supporting is growing; yet, about half of the federal employees in our region will be deployed out of the country during this year’s campaign. So it is upon us to make sure that everyone is personally asked about the CFC, and given the opportunity to participate in our CFC campaign, thereby achieving 100% quality contact. Working together, with one voice, and hard work, we can ensure worthy organizations can continue to provide the programs and services that you care about.  As one team, we can be confident this will be a wonderful and fruitful year for the CFC. Thank you for taking the time to consider using the CFC to invest in the nation's greatest resource, our people.
